Demanding Equal Protection for All
Tell EPA: remove "Priority" language from the DeKalb consent decree
This unprecedented language means DeKalb County is not required to fix the sewer system in “non-priority” areas which include over 2/3 of the county – primarily along the South River in south DeKalb where 71% of residents are Black. The Priority language undermines the Clean Water Act, setting a precedent that threatens water protection nationwide. Click here for more info.

Remove "Priority” language from the DeKalb County consent decree.
All people and all waterways deserve equal protection under the law.
The EPA has an obligation to address ongoing environmental injustice and protect disproportionately polluted communities.
